I know very little about French wine. I generally don't purchase it since I don't know what I am buying. I had a glass of sancerre at Hot and Hot before we got down to the serious wine drinking and it was pretty good but I wanted something better. The waiter recommend the Rully as our white wine. What an excellent choice. We commented on how good it was, we turned the bottle around and noticed the importer was Kermit Lynch. One thing that stands out from a wine tasting class was always buy wines imported by Kermit Lynch. Many years later this has not disappointed.

I wasn't familiar with this appellation but the waiter had a good recommendation for it.
I'm a little skittish when it comes to French whites because there are certain styles I don't like. Lately I have found more things I like by getting good advice from the servers. I liked this Rully and will seek it out again.

One of the five villages in the CÔTE CHALONNAISE in France's BURGUNDY region that has APPELLATION status. It produces FRESH, CRISP white wines from CHARDONNAY and LIGHT, fruity reds from PINOT NOIR. Production is about equally divided between the red and white wines.

I saw this at Wester Mtn. Brook for $19.99 and snatched it right up. I would love to be able to compare it to the one we had originally but this 2004 vintage was very good. I was very happy with it again.
